I don't think Mr. Obama was paying much attention when Reagan was nominally in charge, and doesn't appreciate how much damage a senile actor who sleeps through cabinet meetings can do to a country.

I watched my take home pay shrink under Reagan. Oh, the Federal income tax was reduced, but the FICA and state taxes went through the roof as unfunded Federal mandates got pushed down to the states.

They had a lot of ideas and almost every one was bad and expensive.

Reagan had some decent writers and could memorize a script. The media ignored his blunders, covering for him.
