Rudy, Embrace The Hate
By: Mark W Adams

Wolcott covers the coverage of the MoveOn.org Betray Us ad. As far as I'm concerned, it's a free country. In the age of Swiftboaters, Max Cleland morphing into Osama bin Laden, and dealing with the Rovellian Ratfuckers who constantly engage in far more despicable rhetoric, John Cole reminds us the "current GOP is a snivelling, brain-dead, spineless group of sewer trout, always focussed on political advantage, never paying a lick of attention to what really matters."

Cue GOP Manners Policeman, Orrin Hatch, who challenged all the presidential candidates on both sides of the aisle to condemn what he likes to call "Morons dot org" and the "Nutroots." (Yeah, he said it.)

So, does Orrin's scolding include Rudy Giuliani appearing with Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter? Rudy didn't hesitate to call MoveOn's ad "disgusting." But Mayor 9/11 thinks it's okay to mingle with merchants of hate speech and authoritarian war mongers. The DNC challenged him, how about some criticism from the likes of Hatch or maybe John Boehner?

Nope, not Travelin' John. He's still an idiot who thinks over 4,000 coalition deaths, 12,000 US service people wounded, maybe a million Iraqis dead is "a small price."

In case you need a quick reference, "America's Mayor" who's built his reputation by marching around a mass grave in Manhattan, is not offended by Ann Coultergeist:
"I’ve never seen people [9/11 widows] enjoying their husbands’ deaths so much."
He thinks Sean Hannity is just swell:
"...if I would say to you, you know, was it Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, John Murtha who said 'George Bush gives continuous deliberate misinformation, polls reveal that we want to withdraw from Iraq,' you would have guessed any of those. Well, it was bin Laden who said that."
Giuliani might not remember Oliver North's slur at Hannity's 2004 Freedom Concert:
"Every -- every terrorist is hoping John Kerry gets elected. I'll say it. Every terrorist out there is hoping John Kerry is the next president of the United States."
Mark Levin was also at this year's festivities. He's a real peach when it comes to respect for military men:
When a caller suggested that attacking Kerry's war record was not the best tactic for conservatives, Levin countered by saying, "not that he's this, but just to make the logical point, you ever heard of Benedict Arnold?" He said Arnold "had a great military career" and was "considered a master strategist," but that "simply because someone served in the military doesn't make them presidential material ... I do not believe John Kerry is presidential material."
Also hanging out with Hizzonor, Curtis “I’m all for torturing these guys,” Sliwa and Bob, Just Another Wingnut Bigot, Grant.

Good Times.
