Everyone knew Murtha had a good shot at stepping over Dem. Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) for the job, but Hoyer looked to have the inside track, support of the powers-that-be, etc.

The guy's job is to count votes, and he did, and said in true Rovian fashion that he has the votes.

Obviously, he didn't count on the lady in charge. Folks, there's a new sheriff in town, and she looks Fabulous!

This is a shot right over Cheney's bow, and Nancy ain't quail huntin'. Man I love thumpin' time.
