Come ON, already. Get a damn clue. It's spelled f-i-l-i-b-u-s-t-e-r, as in the sentence: "Obstructionist Republicans use filibuster to block restoring habeas corpus, troop deployment limits and representation for the citizens of Washington D.C."

Isn't that easy? The point is, it's unacceptable merely to say the Senate blocked these measures, since a majority of the Senate voted for each of these bills.

And please don't ever hire the "reporter" in this story for any damn thing. But give this guy a job Right NOW!

While you're at it, would somebody shut down O'Reilly once and for all. I expect O.J. mainia, and don't mind if the media won't leave Britany alone or is going to put her inspired defender on the TeeVee. But dude, could you tell them to leave John Edwards alone too.

And could someone (preferably this guy or even this one) explain to me why you have to pay for Maureen Dowd and Bob Somerby is free? What? They've taken down the pay wall at the NY Times. I guess that explains that.

Except obstructionist Republicans didn'tuse the filibuster to block restoring habeas corpus, troop deployment limits and representation for the citizens of Washington, DC. They only threatened to.

At which point the Democrats just dropped the matter.

When Democrats start making the Republicans read the phonebook aloud at 4am to maintain their filibuster, the news reporting will suddenly become more accurate.
