The Catholic League's pompous leader, the homophobic Bill Donohue (last seen running bloggers off of John Edwards' campaign) is a partisan hack who will forgive anything if it gets more Republicans in office, or more face-time for him on Teh TeeVee. But he doesn't speak for anyone but himself.
