These days, I'm always happy to see a Bill of Rights protection reaffirmed - as long as it's reaffirmed for individuals, as intended.
But as Constitution jurisprudence, this is typical outcome-driven, activist "conservative" trash. If you take away the militia clause all your left with is that the right to keep and bear arms "shall not be infringed". Or as the "conservatives" call it: regulation.
